Harinder Mahil - Portfolio Holder for Economic Regeneration, Medway Council & Owner of the Gurkha Fire

Harinder Mahil holds the economic regeneration, social regeneration and inward investment portfolio at Medway Council, where he oversees business support funds, grants and the council's One Medway approach to joined up working across departments. He's also the owner of the Gurkha Fire, a well known Medway restaurant housed in a converted fire station, which he took on from its previous operators and has grown steadily since. That dual role, council decision maker and small business owner, gives Harinder a rare view from both sides of the table.
